The Precision Oncology Account Executive is responsible for closing new business in the oncology specialized testing market. The role focuses on creating awareness, driving adoption, building complex molecular pathways, and generating demand and volume for Quest's precision oncology portfolio in community oncology and academic cancer centers. The Account Executive works closely with oncology clinical, pathology, and hospital account executives to support a collaborative selling model.

This is a field-based sales role covering Bakerfield south to San Diego. The target compensation is $230,000 to $250,000, including a base salary and sales incentive, with uncapped earning potential. Base salary offers are based on relevant skills, experience, education, certifications, and organizational factors.

Responsibilities:

  1. Drive adoption and volume through new account activation and up-selling.
  2. Target and close new prospects in community and academic centers.
  3. Build consensus on complex molecular pathways with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
  4. Develop workflows and integrate into molecular EMR systems.
  5. Collaborate with client teams and internal departments to facilitate adoption.
  6. Manage strategic accounts and develop thought leadership in oncology.
  7. Plan and execute clinical workflow adoption strategies.
  8. Work directly with regional account executives and support teams.
  9. Secure meetings, provide expertise, and promote awareness at educational meetings.
  10. Manage account depth and breadth for testing adoption.
  11. Prepare proposals, bids, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  12. Complete administrative tasks thoroughly and promptly.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years in strategic account management, especially with health systems or large oncology groups.
  • 3+ years in oncology biotech/lab/pathology/diagnostics sales or account management, with experience in new product launches.
  • Proven success in securing product or therapy adoption.
  • Experience with molecular oncology testing or biopharma therapies preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry and business economics.

Education: Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
