About the Team & About the Role

We are looking for a highly strategic and hands-on Head of Intelligent Content and Documentation Engineering, CCMS and DITA to lead our documentation team, while also acting as the DITA/CCMS architect and AI tooling lead. This is a onsite role for a leader who thrives at the intersection of structured content, intelligent systems, and technical writing excellence. You will define scalable documentation strategies, manage a team of writers and SW application developers, and integrate AI-powered capabilities to improve content creation, reuse, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of technical writers and application developers producing customer-facing technical FPGA product content including data sheets, user guides, release notes, etc.

  • Own and drive content strategy, governance, and quality standards across all documentation outputs.

  • Collaborate with Planning, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Enablement Teams to align documentation with user needs and release cycles.

  • Architect and manage technical writers authoring and publishing pipeline on DITA-based Ixiasoft CCMS.

  • Define and maintain scalable information architecture, metadata frameworks, content models, publication pipelines and optimize reuse strategies.

  • Troubleshoot and evolve structured authoring processes and integrations.

  • Lead development of AI tools into the documentation lifecycle to accelerate content generation and partner with IT to pilot and scale AI-enabled authoring workflows.

  • Collaborate closely with SMEs to extract complex solution details and turn them into modular documentation.

  • Interface with marketing and IT teams to ensure a consistent end-user experience.

  • Develop and maintain custom plugins and enhancements using DITA-OT and XSLT.

  • Identify and implement productivity tools and automation using Python, JavaScript, Web2Py and other relevant technologies

  • Provide regular performance feedback and support professional development.

Salary Range

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor within the US market.Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.

Qualifications:

What We Want to See

  • 9+ years with at least two years in leadership or management capacity and experience in some or all of the following:

  • Deep experience in DITA, structured authoring, and CCMS platforms preferably IXIASOFT, Oxygen XML Editor

  • Strong understanding of XML-based publishing workflows and version control

  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and their application in documentation

  • Experience implementing AI assisted content workflows

  • Experience with content delivery platform preferably Fluid Topics

  • Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Programming skills in Python, JavaScript, Web2Py, and other relevant technologies

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in electrical engineer, computer science or related field)

Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd

  • Understanding of generative AI is a plus

  • Knowledge of FPGA technology is a plus
