Head of Business Development | NYC | Crypto

A leading global algorithmic trading firm is seeking a Head of Business Development to drive growth across its expanding digital asset liquidity business in the Americas.

The firm is one of the most active participants in the global crypto markets, responsible for almost 5% of daily traded volumes and connected to over 50 trading venues worldwide.

This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of the commercial strategy across the Americas, with a mandate to build, lead, and scale a high-performing business development function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy for the firm’s liquidity solutions offering across the Americas.
  • Identify and engage with high-potential counterparties across the crypto and Web3 ecosystem, including exchanges, token projects, and institutional investors.
  • Structure and negotiate bespoke solutions that leverage the firm’s proprietary technology and deep market expertise.
  • Build and lead a team of business development professionals; mentor and guide junior team members to deliver best-in-class client experiences.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams across product, engineering, marketing, and legal to deliver tailored, scalable client solutions.
  • Stay ahead of developments in the digital asset ecosystem to identify emerging opportunities and maintain a strong competitive position.
  • Represent the firm externally at industry events, conferences, and through thought leadership, helping to raise the profile of the firm’s market-making capabilities.

Ideal Profile:

  • Demonstrated experience in a client-facing role within a crypto-native or institutional financial services environment, with a strong understanding of liquidity provision and market structure.
  • A strategic and commercially-minded operator, able to drive initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Strong communicator with a network across the digital asset and Web3 ecosystem.
  • Comfortable working in a high-performance, fast-paced environment with global teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Previous experience building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to engage with global stakeholders in a 24/7 market.
