Job Description & Requirements

This position offers an exciting opportunity for an accomplished physician-investigator to shape the future of genitourinary cancer care and research at a leading academic medical center and NCI Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. The leader will oversee a multidisciplinary team, establish strategic directions for prostate cancer research, and serve on senior leadership committees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 16 physician faculty
• Represent the Prostate Cancer Center of Excellence on various committees
• Establish strategic directions for prostate cancer research
• Oversee project design and foster interactions between basic and clinical research

Qualifications:

• MD, DO, or equivalent terminal medical degree
• Current certification in oncology specialties
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and externally funded research programs

Organization and Location:

Part of McLaren Health Care and Karmanos Cancer Institute, Michigan’s only hospital dedicated exclusively to cancer treatment, with extensive research and clinical trial programs. Located in Detroit, MI, a city known for its cultural and urban renewal.
