Position Overview

Sarcoma Program Head, Associate or Full Professor

The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) invite nominations and applications to lead the Sarcoma Program.

The position will be dual appointed with a primary faculty appointment in the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch and a secondary appointment in the UW Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology. The position will report to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of the Clinical Research Division at Fred Hutch and the Division Head of Hematology and Oncology.

The incumbent will provide strategic leadership to grow the Fred Hutch Sarcoma Program, contribute to clinical care excellence, and foster research in Sarcoma. Responsibilities include leading research and clinical efforts, faculty recruitment, mentorship, and oversight of clinical care.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
  • Board certification in medical oncology or surgical oncology (or surgical subspecialty with expertise in oncology)
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Washington state
  • Evidence of leadership and clinical excellence in sarcoma

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is from $355,356 to $467,737 for Associate Professor and $411,251 to $568,697 for Full Professor. Benefits include health coverage, retirement plans, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and more.
