Base pay range

$220,000.00/yr - $300,000.00/yr

They are building cutting-edge conversational AI agents that are already transforming customer experiences at companies like Duolingo, Notion, Rippling, Webflow, and more. With over $230M in funding and a 60-person high-caliber team, this company is well-positioned to define the next generation of enterprise automation through AI.

They are now seeking exceptional software engineers to join their Agent Engineering team in San Francisco. This is an opportunity to work in a highly technical, fast-paced, and high-ownership environment solving real-world problems with AI.

What You Will Do

• Take full ownership of designing, building, and shipping best-in-class AI agents used across industries such as healthcare, finance, and hospitality.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and directly with customers to understand their needs and develop scalable agent-based solutions.
• Drive projects end-to-end — from ideation and implementation to performance tuning and post-launch iteration.
• Work on complex system design problems involving Python, asynchronous programming, and high-scale backend architectures.
• Be a key contributor in shaping product and technical direction in a startup environment known for rapid shipping and iteration.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in a high-growth tech startup or a top-tier trading or technology company.
• 1+ years of experience in startups between Seed to Series C, known for strong engineering culture and execution.
• Experience building full-stack or backend systems using Python and TypeScript.
• Strong computer science fundamentals — ideally with a CS degree from a top university or top-ranked CS program.
• Passion for building real-world AI applications that scale.
• Strong motivation to work onsite 5 days/week and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced startup culture.

Preferred

• Internship or full-time experience at elite quant trading firms (e.g., Citadel, HRT, Jane Street) or companies like Figma, Retool, Datadog, Scale AI, etc.
• Familiarity with asynchronous systems and concurrency models.
• Demonstrated ability to launch high-impact or fast-growing products.
• Experience working on AI/ML infrastructure or agent-based architectures.
• Clear, compelling reasons for joining a high-intensity early-stage team.
