Base pay range

$300,000.00/yr - $600,000.00/yr

A fast-paced, technology-driven trading firm based in New York, are seeking a Technology Lead to drive the design and implementation of high-performance systems that power the trading strategies. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical expertise with strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of mission-critical trading systems
• Collaborate closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and infrastructure teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions
• Guide and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering best practices in software design, testing, and deployment
• Ensure system scalability, performance, and reliability in low-latency, high-throughput environments
• Drive innovation through the evaluation and adoption of new technologies and development methodologies
• Manage technical debt and plan for long-term system evolution

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, ideally in trading, fintech, or high-performance computing
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role
• Deep proficiency in systems-level programming language C++
• Familiarity with FIX protocol and market data feeds (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, direct exchange connectivity)
• Strong experience with distributed systems, real-time data processing, and network programming
• Proven ability to deliver reliable, low-latency systems under tight deadlines
• Solid understanding of financial markets and trading systems is highly preferred
