Senior Software Engineer - Python
Leading Hedge Fund
New York
Our client, one of the top-performing hedge funds globally, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a high-impact quantitative team.
This is a great opportunity to work side-by-side with Quant Researchers on one of the biggest equities portfolios in the industry. You'll play a key part in improving investment strategies, managing risk, building portfolios, and helping with trade execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a central platform that helps Quants easily access, analyse, and model data in a production setting.
- Create tools and frameworks (think APIs and visualizations) that give better insight into how investments are performing.
- Set up a smooth coding environment and shared services that make it easier for teams to collaborate and move research into production faster.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or a STEM field.
- 6+ years of experience in software development, primarily using Python.
- Strong interest in the quantitative research process.
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end engineering processes effectively.
