Role Description

This is a full-time role with remote flexibility, but candidates must be local to the Greater Bay Area for onsite meetings as needed.

We are seeking to hire a finance lead/ controller to help oversee the accounting, tax and other financial operations for our funds and management company. The finance lead may also be asked to help develop and implement portfolio monitoring, financial optimization strategies, policies, and procedures. We are looking for someone comfortable being a tax leader and making impact within a small team.

Location

We work in our SF office 1-2 days per week. We will consider 100% remote, but prefer Bay Area-based (or surrounding) candidates.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, partnership taxation and financial analysis
  • Proficiency in financial management software e.g., Quickbooks, Excel
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Big 4 tax / audit experience serving investment fund clients and/or experience in-house at an investment firm or fund administrator
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • CPA or equivalent certification
  • Interest in environmental/energy markets
