Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor of Surgery – Transplant Surgery

Indiana University School of Medicine Division of Abdominal Transplantation and Indiana University Health Physicians are actively recruiting a full-time abdominal transplant surgeon with a focus on liver and intestine transplant to join the faculty at the assistant, associate, or professor level. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative group of surgeons and APPs, providing exceptional surgical care within the Indianapolis area.
Responsibilities
- Perform transplant surgeries, procurements, and related procedures.
- Engage in clinical teaching with medical students, surgical residents, and fellows in various settings.
- Participate in research and scholarship activities to support the division and your professional growth.
Qualifications and Skills
Desirable skills include: living donor liver transplantation, minimally invasive donor hepatectomy, liver perfusion, normothermic regional perfusion (NRP), or robotic surgery.
Additional Information
Clinical duties will include transplant surgeries, procurements, and related procedures. This role supports a well-established abdominal transplant division, with IU Health rankings including 3rd in pancreas transplant volume, 5th in intestine transplant volume, and 5th in liver transplant volume.
