Cardiovascular Unit, Department of Medicine, Larner College of Medicine

The University of Vermont Medical Center and the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible cardiologist to join our Cardiovascular Unit as an Assistant or Associate Professor in the Clinical Scholar Pathway.

We are looking for a candidate with strong training in general cardiology and cardiac imaging. This position offers a unique opportunity to practice in a collaborative academic environment that values clinical excellence, teaching, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive ambulatory and inpatient cardiovascular care within the University of Vermont Health Network.
• Interpret noninvasive cardiovascular studies, including stress tests and echocardiograms.
• Conduct outpatient cardiology clinics and inpatient consultations at UVMMC.
• Participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows (10% effort).
• Engage in hospital, departmental, and university service activities.

Call Schedule:

• 2–3 weekday nights per month
• 2–3 weekends per year

Qualifications:

• MD or equivalent degree
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology
• Training in general cardiology and cardiac imaging
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Vermont
