The University of Vermont Medical Center and the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible cardiologist to join our Cardiovascular Unit as an Assistant or Associate Professor in the Clinical Scholar Pathway.
We are looking for a candidate with strong training in general cardiology and cardiac imaging. This position offers a unique opportunity to practice in a collaborative academic environment that values clinical excellence, teaching, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive ambulatory and inpatient cardiovascular care within the University of Vermont Health Network.
- Interpret noninvasive cardiovascular studies, including stress tests and echocardiograms.
- Conduct outpatient cardiology clinics and inpatient consultations at UVMMC.
- Participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows (10% effort).
- Engage in hospital, departmental, and university service activities.
Call Schedule:
- 2–3 weekday nights per month
- 2–3 weekends per year
Qualifications:
- MD or equivalent degree
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology
- Training in general cardiology and cardiac imaging
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Vermont
