Role: Slalom Flex (Project Based) - Project Manager

In this role, you'll be directly supporting a client Project Manager to support the implementation of a new system. You will serve as a key liaison between the client and the vendor implementation team.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the hourly pay range is $60 to $75/HR depending on experience. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The hourly pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.

What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive project schedule using Monday.com
- Coordinate and facilitate steering committee meetings and division-specific huddle meetings
- Manage project status reporting and maintain RAID (Risk, Action, Issue, Decision) logs
- Collaborate with the Change Management Team to develop and implement an organizational change management and communications plan
- Support internal objectives and rollout of a newly formalized project methodology
- Navigate stakeholder adoption of new processes, templates, and methodologies
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines
- Ensure a successful implementation in partnership with the vendor and client's internal team
- Provide strong leadership and challenge assumptions in meetings when necessary
- Understand the client's business challenges to help craft effective solutions that address the needs of our clients to achieve their desired outcomes
- Proactively identify risks and anticipated points of resistance; help develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns
- Work on projects independently and participate as a team member
- Develop relationships and build trust
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management
- Ability to go onsite to local office several times per month
- Classic project management skills
- Familiarity and proven experience with a variety of project methodologies
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop relationships
- The ability to be a natural business partner and trusted advisor
- A strong sense of urgency, committed to business context and outcomes/value delivered
- The ability to remain resilient and assertive
- Savvy in managing diverse personalities across a broad stakeholder group
- Skilled in navigating a siloed organizational structure
- Effective communicator with a willingness to speak up and challenge when needed
- Experienced in supporting change initiatives and methodology adoption
- Project experience that includes data migration, system configuration, training, and reporting
- A proven track record in project management, stakeholder engagement, and change management
- Experience with public sector projects
- Familiarity with licensing and case management systems is a plus
- Consulting experience preferred
