Join our team of providers and our mission as we partner with families to build healthy foundations and community where all children thrive.You will be joining a team that is focused on holistic care to meet the critical individual needs of the developing child and support for the family. You will be working with a team of providers offering multidisciplinary care in a community that connects with, encourages, and builds relationships with one another.SCOPE: The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the planning and implementation of therapy goals for children age birth to eight years old in a clinic or community based program setting. This includes participating in a multi-disciplinary team with Physical Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Mental Health Therapists, Public Health Nurses and Special Educators monitoring treatment progress, and participating with team members two times per month at clinical pediatric meetings.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide services to children and families, offering parent participation during treatment to encourage parent involvement and trainingMonitor treatment progress Evaluate children for program qualification Develop on-going individualized goals and progress reports, if necessaryParticipate with team members on a regular basis and provide inter-disciplinary consultations with other therapists as neededComplete written daily treatment notes within a week to document services renderedMaintain records on each child as mandated to monitor progress Provide daily insurance billing information to facilitate timely reimbursementInclude parents in decision making opportunities at reassessment periodsSupervise COTA(s)Supervise student internsMonitor and track caseload requirements with on-going new referrals Participate in staff development/training opportunitiesAttend bi-weekly team meetingsOther duties as assignedQualificationsQUALIFICATIONSRequired: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with valid Washington State LicensurePass Washington State DSHS criminal history and background check and FBI fingerprint check if not in state for more than the past 3 yearsAbility to work as a member of a teamPreferred: At least one year of pediatric experience Bilingual in English and SpanishCERTIFICATION AND LICENSESCopy of current Washington Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license day of hireNBCOT CertificationPHYSICAL DEMANDS: This is an active job requiring lifting of up to 50 lbs, frequently squatting, sitting on the floor and active work with children.
