Our commitment to quality and efficiency drives us to continually seek talented individuals who can contribute to our success.Key Responsibilities:Machining OperationsSupport Lean 5s initiatives to achieve a workplace that is clean, uncluttered, safe, and well organized to help reduce waste and optimize productivityDemonstrate time management skills while multitaskingFollow documented and verbal directions including on-the-job training, written job instructions, and standard operating proceduresSafely meet established labor efficiency and production goals such as throughput and quality of workAccurately complete forms and documentation such as production travelers (MOT's) and process logsLoad stock into machines and associated fixturingOperation of CNC machinesManual machine operationsDeburr as necessaryPerform machine maintenance for daily use (i.e. tool life management, coolant, oils and fluid level and accuracy)Change tools and perform tool offsets as neededClearly communicate needs (materials, equipment, training) to supervisor or leadWork independently and or in a team environmentMust Maintain 97% of expected throughputIn-process Quality InspectionInspect and measure components using micrometers, calipers, part specific gages, pin gages, height cages, optical comparator, surface finish standards and other standard measuring equipmentIdentify and physically quarantine non-conforming material and productMaintain cleanliness, verify calibration, and identify wear of inspection gaging and equipmentMaintain traceability of work productQuality of workMaintain less than 2% individual non-conforming parts/scrap rateEnsure that all products meet quality standards and report potential non-conformances or safety issuesCommunicate any production issues through chain of command as neededContribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and qualityAll other duties as assignedBenefits: We offer a competitive compensation package, including salary, paid time off, health insurance, retirement plans, and professional development opportunities. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S Government.Minimum QualificationsMust be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card HolderMust pass initial and subsequent background checksMust pass preemployment and subsequent drug and alcohol screeningsMust comply with internal non-disclosure agreement requirementsAbility to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English languageMust be at least 18 years of ageBasic math skills (addition, subtraction, and decimals)Proficiency in using Windows operating systems, navigating Microsoft SharePoint, and using quality management software, including data entryMaintain Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives "Employee Possessor" eligibilityExperience/knowledge of calipers and/or micrometers1-year CNC experience or have completed Valor Machinist in Training Program or other technical trade program with emphasis in machiningPhysical RequirementsRARE (less than 10%): crawling, climbing.OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body-twisting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., reaching, range-of-motion, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, balancing, lifting up to 50 lbs..FREQUENT (up to 66%): walking, sitting, climbing on/off truck, reading, lifting up to 10 lbs, gripping.CONTINUOUS (up to 100%): speaking clearly, seeing distant, seeing, hearing-speech-range, depth-perception, color vision.VISION: Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Near vision includes clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less to work with small objects or read small/fine print, including use of computers.The schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, 5 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. or 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.This position will remain open until noon on August 28, 2025Salary Description $19.73 - $22.20/hour
