The successful candidate will program, set up, and operate CNC 3-Axis Machining Centers to produce high-quality metal components, ensuring precision, efficiency, and a safe, organized work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation: Set up, operate, and assist in programming CNC 3-Axis Machining Centers to perform operations like facing, turning, boring, threading, drilling, reaming, broaching, and knurling to meet precise specifications.Setup and Programming: Review setup sheets and specifications to determine program sequences, setup operations, and workpiece dimensions, adjusting programs and tooling as needed to achieve specifications.Tool Management: Insert and position cutting tools and tool holders on the turret for optimal performance.Quality Control: Verify machined workpieces against blueprints or engineering drawings using inspection tools and gauges to ensure specification adherence.Material Handling: Load bar stock or tubing into feeder tubes to maintain continuous production.Secondary Operations: Operate additional machines for secondary operations when time allows to maximize productivity.Workflow Optimization: Assist management in scheduling workloads to enhance operational efficiency.Training and Mentorship: Train team members on setup procedures and quality production standards to ensure consistency.Documentation: Complete production paperwork, inspection procedures, and maintain accurate production logs, reporting discrepancies to supervisors.Maintenance and Safety: Perform daily maintenance on equipment, tools, and gauges, keep the work area clean and safe, and comply with company policies, emphasizing safety regulations.
