American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with advanced certifications and flexibility to work all areas of a busy ED.Job Details•Position is in a large Emergency Department with 101 beds,•Typical nurse to patient ratio is 4:1; may increase to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds,•Unit features cardiac monitoring, internal processing, triage areas, and tech and clerk support available days and nights,•Baxter pumps and GE monitors are primary equipment used,•Uses Cerner for electronic documentation,•Night shifts from 6:45PM to 7:15AM with every other weekend required,•No floating outside the ED, but flexibility to float among all sections within the ED is required,Job Requirements•Active RN license required,•Minimum 2 years' RN experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Department,•Previous experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center with high volume (100,000+ annual visits) preferred,•Current AHA or ARC certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS prior to start; ENPC within 90 days of hire,•Strong teamwork skills with the ability to coach and provide feedback in real time,•No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months,•US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration,Additional Information•Provide high-quality emergency care to a diverse, multicultural patient population,•Expected to deliver excellent patient experience and communicate effectively using AIDET protocols,•Must keep patient boards updated and ensure patients are informed throughout their visit,•Navy scrubs are required as the uniform,•Known for a supportive team environment and a culture that welcomes diverse backgrounds and languages,•Attendance policy will be provided on the first day,•Block scheduling is not available; schedules are designed to meet departmental needs
