American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position managing adult to geriatric patients with arrhythmia management and advanced cardiac care required.Job Details•Work in a hospital telemetry unit with a 32-bed capacity,•Care for adult and geriatric patient populations, including cardiac, renal, pulmonary, and surgical overflow cases,•Patient ratio is 1:5-6,•Night shift (3x12 hours), 19:00 to 7:00,•Required to work every other weekend,•Floating required within the facility,•Call is rare, with a 2-hour response time if assigned,•Uses Epic EMR (preferred), Pyxis, and SBAR systems,Job Requirements•Active GA or Compact RN license must be in hand at time of consideration,•Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry nursing experience required,•BLS and ACLS certifications required,•Experience with arrhythmia management, cardiac drips, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-PCI care required,•Experience handling cardiac and med/surg patient cases including CHF, chest pain, renal, pulmonary, DKA, and post-surgical patients,•First-time travelers are not accepted,•Must provide two supervisory references from current or recent managers (no charge nurses),•Perm or PRN staff must be away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year to be eligible as a traveler,Additional Information•Responsible for arrhythmia management, cardiac drip administration, and care of overflow IMCU patients,•Must be knowledgeable in administering drips such as amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, nitroglycerin, milrinone, heparin, argatroban, aggrastat, bumex, and lasix,•Care for patients post cardiac cath including TR Bands and basic med/surg responsibilities,•May occasionally care for vascular, ortho, or CVA overflow patients until transfer,•Navy blue scrubs required,•Full compliance is required prior to start and all onboarding documentation must be submitted within 48 hours of contract signing,•Up to 7 days of RTO allowed, but no RTO during the first week; holiday RTO requests are highly restricted based on assignment length,•Holiday coverage is required for all major holidays occurring during assignment per policy,•Travel pairs are not permitted to be assigned the same shift on the same unit,•Modules completed during orientation, documented by transcript,•Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate,),•hash,:•14692946452153086604,
