Performs other duties as assigned.Why Work at Cheyenne Regional?403(b) with 4% employer matchANCC Magnet Hospital21 PTO days per year (increases with tenure)Education Assistance ProgramEmployee Sponsored Wellness ProgramEmployee Assistance ProgramLoan Forgiveness EligibleHere is What You Will Be Doing:Evaluates physician-referred patients determining functional limitations and impairments; develops a plan of care including specific interventions and goals to address the patient's needs, in accordance with physician orders/protocol; assists with discharge planning through recommendations communicated to the physician and the multidisciplinary team.Provides treatment in accordance with the plan of care and within the scope of physical therapy practice; treatment includes direct application of physical therapy procedures/modalities, instruction/education of patient/family, periodic reassessment and modification of plan of care.Documents evaluations, treatments, charges, and all relevant communications/interactions with the patient, family, and physician in the patient's chart.Coordinates patient treatment as appropriate with other disciplines such as occupational and speech therapy; communicates and coordinates as appropriate with other services such as Transitional Care Unit, Acute Rehabilitation Unit, Home Care Services, Skilled Nursing Facility, and case management; attends multidisciplinary team meetings as appropriate.Manages time efficiently to accomplish patient evaluation, treatment and documentation without necessitating excessive use of overtime.Supervises physical therapist assistants, physical therapy aides and other support personnel involved in direct patient care.Submits accurate, daily charges for patient care, on a timely basis.Participates in education/training of groups/individuals, both intra and extra departmental, on topics relevant to physical therapy.Participates in department initiatives in Performance Improvement, Service Excellence, safety, and other programs.Desired Skills:Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrates an independent work initiative, sound judgment and attention to detailAbility to assess, evaluate, explain, teach, problem solve using critical thinking; and perform calculationsAbility to interact respectfully with diverse cultural and socio-economic populationsHere is What You Need:Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy programCurrent Wyoming Physical Therapist (PT) license from the Wyoming State Board of Physical Therapy14 Days: Cheyenne Regional AHA RQI within fourteen (14) calendar days of start dateNice to Have:Prior experience in an inpatient or outpatient settingAbout Cheyenne Regional:Cheyenne Regional Medical Center was founded in 1867 as a tent hospital by the Union Pacific Railroad to treat workers injured while building the transcontinental railroad.
