DescriptionUses specialized equipment including a water jet cutter to create machine parts and tools. Constructs precision tools or metal dies. Reads detailed drawings, blueprints, sketches, for computer-aided design (CAD). Turn, mill, drill, shape, and grind machine parts to specifications. Compute and verify dimensions, sizes, shapes , and tolerances of workpieces. Verify that completed products meet requirements. Also includes installation of "new" die tooling, purchased perishable tooling and making necessary items in-house. Other duties as assigned.RequirementsHigh School Diploma/GED; or vocational training. 3 years related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read blueprints required. Proficiency with CAD software. Experience with annual lathes, manual and CNC milling machines, grinders and other tools to product precision metal parts. Experience with water jet cutter preferred.
