Description Position at University Medical Partners Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Full-time)Stanford Cancer CenterUniversity Medical PartnersCastro Valley, CAStanford Cancer Center in Castro Valley is seeking full-time licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a close-knit team of Medical Oncologists and PA/NPs. This site is a community-based Stanford Network Cancer Center, providing leading-edge oncology and malignant and benign hematology diagnosis and treatment with an on-site infusion room. Stanford Cancer Center, Castro Valley strives to offer each patient seamless support through comprehensive and compassionate care with dedicated and caring staff and patient access to multidisciplinary services with onsite Radiation Oncology and presence of additional subspecialties including Palliative Care, Breast Surgery, Endocrine Surgery and Gynecologic Oncology. Our patients additionally have access to services including an Integrative Oncology Program, Rehab Program, Lymphedema therapy and Nutrition Services.PA/NP will support a team of Medical Oncologists and work with PA/NP colleagues in an outpatient setting. PA/NP will be responsible for follow-ups for patients undergoing active therapy, on active surveillance, or hematology follow-ups. PA/NP will supervise the infusion room and will collaborate with RNs to manage side effects of treatments administered. Will perform cancer therapy education visits with the patient and family. Will order and interpret lab and radiology studies as medically necessary and assist with triage of urgent patient needs. The role additionally includes hospital rounding at Eden Medical Center. Opportunities for development beyond routine clinical care include collaboration with Stanford University School of Medicine Faculty, participation in clinical trials, Integrative oncology, Survivorship, and Cancer prevention. PA/NP will work in a collaborative and supportive environment with an opportunity for mentorship.Position Details:Full-time Oncology/Hematology Physician Assistant or Nurse PractitionerMonday through Friday; No weekends and no callPrimarily clinic-based: Patient care, infusion center supervision, care coordination and inbox mgmt.Hospital rounding at Eden Medical CenterMinimum two (2) years of PA or NP experience preferred.
