The CMM Programmer will be responsible for programming and operating CMMs (Hexagon Metrology systems) using PC-DMIS software to inspect high-precision, complex medical implant components. This role ensures compliance with strict dimensional and documentation standards required by FDA and ISO 13485.

- Program and operate CMMs to inspect high-precision medical implants and components.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D models to develop accurate inspection plans.
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections, ensuring conformance to specifications.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve non-conformances and continuously improve inspection methods.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure traceability in accordance with FDA, ISO 13485, and internal quality systems.
- Support validation activities and continuous improvement initiatives related to metrology and inspection systems.
- Develop, edit, and optimize CMM inspection programs using PC-DMIS for Hexagon Metrology machines.
- Perform detailed dimensional inspections (first article, in-process, final) for titanium and stainless-steel implants and associated components.
- Analyze and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and GD&T to build accurate inspection routines.
- Perform root cause analysis and provide quality-related input for process improvements and non-conformance investigations.
- Support gage R&R studies, calibration, and validation protocols.
- Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to troubleshoot measurement issues and optimize production quality.
- Train or assist QC inspectors in basic use of measurement tools and interpretation of CMM results.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in Quality, Metrology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of CMM programming experience in a regulated, high-precision manufacturing environment (medical device, aerospace, or similar).
- Strong understanding of GD&T , blueprint reading, and 3D CAD interpretation (SolidWorks or equivalent).
- Proficient in GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Experience with CMM software required. PC-DMIS experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of quality standards in regulated industries (FDA, ISO 13485, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
