What you will be responsible for: Weld metal parts together using mig, and/or stick welding or any combination using both arc welding processes to fabricate or repair headers or header subassemblies.Ability to understand and interpret drawings, weld symbols and weld proceduresAbility to operate pneumatic or electric grindersRemoves metal with carbon arc gouging equipment and/or plasma gouging equipmentRepair broken or cracked parts and fill holes.Maintains production record of parts and jobs fabricated as required by the Department Manager.Position pieces with overhead or jib cranes.Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on-site, ability to work overtime.Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department. POSITION REQUIREMENTS (knowledge, skills, and abilities) Ability to add and subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to use and interpret tape measures.TIG or GTAW ExperienceStick / SMAWCarbon and alloy materials, stainless steel EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels) High School Diploma or equivalentMust pass the American Society of Mechanical Engineering welding test.
