APPLY NOW!We are seeking a passionate and dedicated physical therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with children who exhibit developmental delays or disabilities, providing individualized therapy to improve physical functioning, mobility and overall quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions. The role requires collaboration with families and other healthcare providers to support the child's growth and development.Salary: $48 per billable hour (unit based) and $60 per evaluationNotes: Bilingual Spanish/English preferred Work Environment:Work is conducted in homes through Children's Developmental Services Agency (CDSA), ABA clinics we are in contract with and within our outpatient clinics depending on the needs of the child and family.Very flexible schedule options available (create a schedule that works for you); this will start off part-time with the option to move to full-time as the need grows.Travel within the local area may be required.Key Responsibilities:Assessments and Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine the needs of children and create individualized therapy plans.Individualized Therapy: Develop and implement customized therapy plans based on each child's unique needs and goals. Provide hands-on treatment and interventions to help children improve motor skills, coordination, sensory regulation, and daily functioning.Family-Centered Care: Collaborate with families to create an environment of support, offering guidance and education on how they can foster development at home. Provide regular updates on the child's progress and make adjustments to therapy plans as needed.Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including speech therapists, occupational therapists and healthcare providers, to ensure cohesive care for the child.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of evaluations, therapy sessions, progress, and other relevant information in accordance with legal and ethical standards.Early Intervention Advocacy: Stay informed about best practices, new research, and available resources related to early childhood intervention to ensure the provision of the highest quality care.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's, Master's degree or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.Licensure: Valid and current Physical Therapy license in North Carolina, or ability to obtain licensure.Experience:Experience in early childhood development or early intervention settings is highly preferred.Previous experience working with children with developmental delays, disabilities, or special needs.Skills and Abilities:Strong knowledge of child development, therapeutic techniques, and evidence-based practices for early intervention.Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Compassionate, patient, and adaptable demeanor.
