Status: Hourly Non-Exempt Position Type: Full-time (Occasional Overtime Required)Hours: 40 hrs Schedule: M-FReports to: KeyLink Production Manager Key Roles Utilize advanced Machinery and software through operating CNC & Secondary MachineryEnsure Quality of parts and processWorking to StandardMachine breakdown and setupTraining team members (Machinist 1 & Machinist 2)Guarantee home keeping needs are metAdvanced mechanical problem solvingMachine programmingKey Competencies Willingness to learn and follow directionsTeam Player: committed to improving, learning, and collaborating with othersProblem-solving and continuous improvement mindsetAbility to collaborate and communicate effectively across departmentsActive prioritization of company mission, values, and cultureDuties and ResponsibilitiespLead complex setups and changeovers on Citizen Swiss CNC machines (e.g., L-Series, M-Series, A32, etc.) Edit and troubleshoot G-code programs to ensure optimal machine performance and part quality Develop and document setup sheets, tooling requirements, and best practices for repeatability Optimize cutting parameters and cycle times to maximize efficiency without compromising quality Work closely with engineering and programming teams to launch new products and improve existing processes Conduct first-article inspections and validate new setups against drawings and specifications Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to Machinist I and II team members Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to resolve machining or quality-related issues Ensure machines are properly maintained and recommend tooling or equipment upgrades as needed Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure adherence to safety standards QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree preferred Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Citizen Swiss-style CNC lathes Strong proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and advanced inspection techniques Solid understanding of G-code programming and CNC controls (Fanuc) Proven track record of successful process improvements, setup reduction, and troubleshooting Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical, aerospace, automotive) is highly desirable Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced shop Strong communication and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Esprit) Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma principles Prior supervisory or team lead experience is a plus Machine Safety Training (Machine Guarding Principals, OSHA 10Hr)Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a manufacturing setting.
