ResponsibilitiesKey Accountabilities:Provides knowledge of numerical control, machining, and programming inspection machine toolsPerforms a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis of NC programs to ensure validation and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements and specificationsAnalyze blueprints, engineering models, and electronic controls to support NC programmingWork with NC programmers to optimize or modify programs as requiredProgram CMM's, portable inspection devices and provide verification of NC programs using software and appsAbility to collaborate in a team environmentValidates fabrication, assembly, or installation manufacturing plans by coordinating with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teamsCommunicates with cross-functional teams to influence and clarify design conceptsCoordinates change incorporation, optimizes processes, and addresses producibility issues as well as production & post-production problems QualificationsRequired Qualifications:Ability to apply process knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Composite non-metallic, metallic machining, sheet metal, systems, structures and inspection2-5 years of professional experience or equivalent work experience in numerical control (NC) programming, concentrating on multi-axis machines, metallic or composite materialsHigh School Diploma or GEDPreferred Qualifications:Experience with inspection machine tools and NC Programming softwareFrequent interaction with internal personnel in the manufacturing environment and occasionally with inter-organizational personnel and external customersAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D modelsStrong skills in Microsoft Office, especially with ExcelStrong knowledge of SAPCATIA; ENOVIA;; Metrologic; Verisurf; PolyworksUnderstanding of the master scheduling requirementsAbility to take a project from start to finishWillingness to work cross-functionallyAssociate or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required, subject to experience in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering or other related course of study a plus but not required.Spirit AeroSystems is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy, age, disability, veteran status or any other protected factor under federal, state or local law.Kansas Tax Credit: Join Spirit AeroSystems' Kansas team and you may be eligible for a $5,000 state of Kansas Aviation tax credit for up to five years.
