CNC Swiss Machine OperatorKey Responsibilities:Perform a variety of activities with only a normal level of supervision to operate CNC SWISS machines.Monitor work to make sure that the equipment is operating properly.Inspect first piece and obtain approval from designated person.Check parts during run according to procedures, specifications, and customer requirements using a variety of gauges from calipers, micrometers, thread gages, and depth micrometers.Make general decisions regarding quality, tolerances, and sequence of operations.Inspect work in process for conformance to functional and aesthetics specifications.Identify and resolve routine and non-routine issues through effective troubleshooting. Set up and complete secondary operations and/or machines or processes as required or instructed.Perform daily maintenance checks on all equipment operated.Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment and materials.Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations and unusual conditions to supervision.Communicate effectively with internal company partners in performing assigned tasks.Keep supervisor aware in a timely manner of any issues needing the supervisor's involvement.Maintain timely and accurate records and reports as required.Observe good housekeeping and safety habits.Support change and company/departmental goals through actions and behaviors.Communicate effectively with co-workers and internal customers.Perform assignments in a timely and efficient manner while meeting customer quality expectations.Work Environment:Clean Manufacturing plant environmentBrand new CNC Swiss MachinesExposure to industrial noise and temperature variationsAll candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment background check, drug-screen and physical prior to being hired.
