General Expectations and ResponsibilitiesFollow ADF safety procedures and practices.Proficiently read and interpret blueprints as needed.Proficient in reading welding symbols.Weld in the flat (1G) and horizontal (2G).Safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools.Proficient in the use and set up of oxyfuel and plasma cutters.Utilize Carbon Arc Cutting/Gouging processes to remove material.Understand types of welding discontinuities, prevention, and repair.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to operate on strict deadlines.Clean and properly store tools and equipment at the end of shift.Strong communication skills.Any other related duties and special projects as needed.Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand/walk for 10 hours at a time.Ability to bend, squat, kneel for varying lengths of time.Ability to fully articulate shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist.Must be able to grasp and safely operate hand and power tools.Must be able to occasionally push, pull, lift, pull, or carry up to 75lbs.Must be able to work in various conditions (loud, hot, dusty, cold, etc.).Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend on ladders.
