We're a dynamic team on a mission to provide better healthcare options for Houstonians!Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a background in pain management across both inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, patient-focused, and confident in managing complex pain conditions in diverse clinical environments.Responsibilities:Perform comprehensive assessments and manage treatment plans for patients with chronic and acute pain in both inpatient and outpatient environments.Provide consults for hospitalized patients requiring pain management, collaborating with hospitalists and specialists.Conduct outpatient follow-up visits and interventional pain procedures (as trained/credentialed).Prescribe pain medications, including controlled substances, in compliance with DEA and state regulations.Educate patients on pain control methods, medication use, and lifestyle modifications.Coordinate multidisciplinary care, including physical therapy, behavioral health, and specialty referrals.Accurately document all patient interactions in the EMR system.Collaborates with staff to identify residents' needs and to help develop plan to meet these needs. Follows residents in health center as needed for continuity of care. Serves as a member of committees dealing with health care.
