2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Position: CNC Programmer – Mastercam Location: Brimfield, IL Industry: Heavy Industrial Manufacturing / Specialty Machinery Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire | Full-Time Hours per Week: 40 Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday – Friday) About The Opportunity We are actively seeking a CNC Programmer with strong Mastercam experience to join a growing and well-established manufacturing organization specializing in the production of heavy-duty, high-performance industrial transport equipment used globally in metal and material handling sectors. This is an initial contract-to-hire opportunity , with the potential for permanent employment. The conversion timeline will be discussed during the interview and will be based on performance, team fit, and business needs. You will work closely with the Industrial Engineering and Machining departments, helping to drive quality, accuracy, and efficiency across all precision machining operations. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for lathes, vertical mills, and 4-axis horizontal boring mills Configure and modify tool paths, feeds, speeds, and setup instructions to ensure efficient and precise machining Select and recommend cutting tools, tooling strategies, and cycle time optimizations Provide real-time support to machinists and operators to ensure smooth program execution Interpret complex blueprints and part drawings, applying GD&T standards Troubleshoot and resolve programming, setup, and tooling issues Maintain well-organized program documentation, including tool lists and setup sheets Ensure adherence to quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate with engineering, machinists, and operations staff for project alignment and knowledge sharing Perform additional duties as needed and be open to cross-training Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework in CNC machining/programming preferred 3–5 years of CNC programming experience (including multi-axis machines) Mastercam proficiency is required Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC logic Hands-on knowledge of FANUC, Toshiba, and Okuma controllers preferred Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints using GD&T Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-precision standards Willingness to take on new tasks and be cross-trained Schedule & Work Environment Full-Time | 40 hours/week Shift: Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Manufacturing environment: includes exposure to shop noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs); standing and walking on shop floor as needed Office work required for programming, documentation, and coordination Compensation & Benefits (Upon Conversion) Competitive pay structure (based on experience) Health insurance (medical & prescription) Dental insurance Life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid vacation & holidays Training, development, and long-term growth opportunities Seniority level Seniority level Associate Employment type Employment type Contract Job function Job function Engineering and Information Technology Industries Business Consulting and Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Raya Workforce by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for “Computer Numerical Control Programmer” roles.
