Job Responsibilities: Program and maintain current file revisions of all client parts. Interpret engineering blueprints to draw (program) flat pattern layouts of parts. Work with clients’ engineers. Reverse engineer parts for manufacturing. Make machine & tooling selections to manufacture parts most cost-effectively. Design and request procurement of tools necessary. Prepare detailed standardized work instructions and set-up sheets. Utilize CAD/CAM software to improve run time and programming time continuously. Work with SOLIDWORKS, sheet metal fabrication, CAMWorks for CNC programming, and SigmaNEST for nesting. Minimum 3 years of experience programming CNC lasers for sheet metal fabrication. Ability to understand, write, edit, and troubleshoot G-Codes. Apply critical thinking to identify solutions and approaches to problems. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing and interpreting technical plans, blueprints, and drawings, specifically for sheet metal fabrication. Understanding of raw materials, production processes, bend deductions, tooling, quality control, and cost optimization in sheet metal fabrication. Engineering background with strong mechanical aptitude is beneficial. Familiarity with CNC machinery, fabrication practices, material properties, and mathematical application in production. Ability to integrate existing methods with innovative solutions to solve production problems efficiently.
