The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care for a diverse patient population, including individuals with trauma and post-operative orthopedic/neurosurgical needs, as well as pediatric patients. The RN will work collaboratively with a dynamic healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients of all ages, focusing on trauma and post-operative cases within the Neuro/Ortho/Pediatric population.- Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout their hospital stay.- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.- Monitor and document patient conditions using the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (currently using Paragon, transitioning to Cerner).- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and facility policies. Qualifications: - Must hold a valid Nursing License (RN).- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required, with a preference for experience in adult and pediatric care.- Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); preferred: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.- Flexibility to float to other inpatient units as needed. Unit Information: - Location: 7th Floor, Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics- Number of Beds: 24- Patient Ratios: 1:6 Housing Recommendations: Local housing options are available and can be provided upon request to support your transition.
