Your dedication will help foster a supportive environment for patients and their families during a critical time in their lives.We're looking for someone who:Thrives in a collaborative, team-based environmentCommunicates with compassion and clarityDemonstrates sound clinical judgment and adaptabilityIs motivated by making a meaningful impact at every stage of careJoin us in advancing oncology care and building lasting trust through innovation, expertise, and heart.ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties•Conduct patient assessments, provide diagnoses, and recommend treatment plans under physician supervision.•Prepare new patient consultation notes and assist with follow-up care.•Evaluate and monitor patients receiving infusion therapy, managing side effects and symptoms.•Deliver patient education on cancer treatments, chemotherapy risks/benefits, and symptom management.•Review procedures and ensure accurate charge capture for each patient visit.•Participate in interdisciplinary team functions, including tumor board discussions and care plan coordination.•Prepare and maintain detailed patient records to support high-quality care and reimbursement.•Triage calls, assist with prescription refills, and communicate lab/pathology results.•Make appropriate referrals and work collaboratively with medical staff.•Support process improvement efforts related to patient care and clinic operations.Operational & Supervisory Duties•Monitor daily clinic operations, including workload, order management, and staff productivity.•Supervise clinical and clerical staff to ensure quality service and patient satisfaction.•Assist in developing clinic policies, procedures, and training for staff.Organizational & Compliance•Comply with HIPAA and organizational policies and procedures.•Ensure a safe, clean, and confidential work environment.•Collaborate with team members and support additional administrative duties as needed.QualificationsEducation•Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.•Valid Nurse Practitioner license and registration in the State of California.•Clearance of certification exam as a Nurse Practitioner.Certifications•Current California NP license required.•Oncology certifications such as OCN, AOCN, or AOCNS are highly desirable.Experience•3-5 years of licensed clinical experience in oncology nursing.Skills & Abilities•Strong understanding of cancer treatments and chemotherapy scheduling.•Effective oral and written communication.•EMR proficiency and general computer operation.•Strong analytical skills to assess procedures and patient care quality.•Ability to remain calm and responsive in emergency situations.•Skilled in multidisciplinary collaboration and patient education.•Commitment to maintaining a positive, team-oriented clinic culture.•Ability to handle high-stress environments with frequent interruptions.Physical & Work Environment•Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 20 lbs).•Exposure to clinical risks, including infectious diseases and chemicals.•Requires manual dexterity and visual/hearing acuity.•Must manage fast-paced workloads and emotional situations with professionalism.Compensation:•Income listed reflects income top of the range DOE.
