American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring procedural sedation administration and current BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS certifications.Job Details•Work in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care hospital,•ED has 39 beds and averages 90 patient visits per day,•Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4,•Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM,•Every other weekend and every other holiday are required,•No on-call responsibilities,•Floating may occur in rotation with regular staff per clinical experience,•Uses Cerner EMR; Cerner experience preferred,•Scrub color is navy blue,Job Requirements•Active RN license (Compact or MD) is required for consideration,•Minimum of 2 years of ED RN experience required,•Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment,•Current BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS certifications are required,•Procedural sedation administration experience required,•TNCC, ENCP, ventilated patient care, triage, and charge nurse experience preferred,•BSN preferred,•Two supervisor references from the past two years are required,•Return staff must have at least 1 year since last MedStar employment,Additional Information•Provide emergency care for a diverse patient population in a busy ED environment,•Must complete online orientation prior to the first scheduled shift,•Modules must be completed pre-start or during orientation; average module time is 12 hours,•Magnet certified hospital,•Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted,•Must be flexible regarding manager interviews, as an interview may or may not occur,•Kronos badge system is used for timekeeping
