You will produce precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurementsJob Duties & Responsibilities:Operating and maintaining industrial machinesProducing precision toolsInterpreting technical drawings and instructionsEnsuring that all operations adhere to safety protocolsChecking that all equipment produced works correctlySetting up equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing planOperating equipment to carry out each step correctlyMonitoring the production process and intervening when problems ariseInspecting finished parts for flaws and defectsRead blueprints and sketchesProperly set up, program, operate and disassemble CNC mills and lathes, as well as manual mills and lathesUse CNC softwareUse precision measuring toolsMonitor machine speedAnalyze products for quality and defectsSmooth part or product surfacesMake part modifications as requiredQualification / Requirements:Knowledge of the properties of metal and other materialProven experience as machinistAbility to read blueprints, schematics and manualsGood at math with analytical abilitiesDemonstrated oral and written communication skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specificationsProblem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing processBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offTuition reimbursementVision insurance
