JOB SUMMARYResponsible for tack-up and finish weld of various weldments and components. They must be able to tack up and weld to exact tolerances and to finish product with grinders and sanders. This position will be using ten - thirty ton crane in a safe manner. Responsibilities include: GMAW (MIG) welding on mild steel and stainless Square up and weld various components Able to assemble components to fixtures and weld Additional items as assigned by managerPRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANYThis position interacts with other trades in and outside of their area including welders, Quality Control, plumbers, Project Managers and Engineering.COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS Strong welding skills Strong communication skills Detail-oriented Time management skills Must own tools for daily tasks All Armor employees are also expected to demonstrate Armor's core values of being: Customer-Focused Passionate about Work Solution-Oriented Driven by Integrity EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High school education/Vocational education Welding training/education Able to meet 1 of the following Certifications requirements: Military , MIG (GMAW) Plate, TIG (GTAW) Plate or Aluminum MIG (GMAW).EQUIPMENT USEDMIG welders, grinders, sanders, fork truck, various lift assist devicesWORKING AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONSWork will be performed on the Manufacturing Floor.
