This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced professional to make a positive difference in the geriatric population. Travel expenses will be reimbursed beyond an agreed mileage limit.The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering day-to-day care to residents. They supervise the LPNs, CNAs and other nursing staff on duty with them as well as participate in the direct care of the residents. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services to ensure the highest degree of quality care is always maintained. They are also responsible for administering medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.Registered Nurse - PRN Pool QualificationsMust have ASN or BSN degree from an accredited collegeMust have an active RN license in the state of VirginiaExperience in long-term care preferredAbility to communicate effectively with a variety of individualsAbility to read and understand written and oral instructionsKnowledge of nursing practices and proceduresKnowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing in a long-term care facilityAbility to make independent decisions
