The organization is seeking one Electrical Project Manager and one Assistant Project Manager, both of whom will play a vital role in the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex electrical projects. These positions are responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Manager:
- Lead pre-construction meetings and manage the transition from estimating to field teams
- Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and financial forecasts
- Oversee material procurement, vendor negotiations, and subcontractor buyouts
- Prepare and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and monthly progress billings
- Supervise project team including foremen, journeymen, and helpers
- Conduct project close-out including documentation and customer turnover
- Ensure full compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards
- Conduct post-project performance reviews for continuous improvement
- Assist with project scheduling, milestone tracking, and coordinating field operations
- Support documentation processes including RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers for procurement and delivery timelines
- Help maintain project cost controls, forecasting, and WIP reports
- Conduct site visits and assist with field issue resolution
- Track and maintain all project documentation including permits, drawings, and safety plans
- Support monthly billing and client communication
- Participate in project close-out and turnover documentation
Education:
- Project Manager: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Assistant Project Manager: Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required
- Project Manager: 10+ years of experience in electrical construction project management
- Assistant Project Manager: 2-5 years of experience in electrical construction or project coordination
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam, and Spectrum
- Familiarity with estimating software (ConEst, Accubid, McCormick)
- Project Manager: OSHA 30 & NFPA 70E
- Assistant Project Manager: OSHA 10 & NFPA 70E
- Electrical code requirements and engineering calculations (voltage-drop, conduit-fill, etc.)
- Federal, state, and local building codes and permitting procedures
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Attention to detail and ability to recognize discrepancies
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments
- Problem-solving mindset with a team-oriented approach
- Full-time, on-site roles located in Brockport, NY
- Local travel required up to two hours from home
- Must be able to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Work environments include indoor and outdoor job sites with exposure to varying conditions
- Physical demands include lifting up to 100 lbs., climbing ladders, and use of PPE
- Candidates must have a valid NYS driver's license with no major infractions
