Senior Mechanical Engineer

Selectek is working with a client in Birmingham, AL that is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who has a background in healthcare.nRequired:n•   Bachelor’s degree with 7-10 years of experience in the HVAC engineeringn   industryn•   Design facility HVAC & Plumbing systems to meet client’s requirements inn   projects.n•   Perform facility HVAC & Plumbing distribution system and equipment designn   for a wide range of projects, and collaborate with team engineers, architects,n   and detailers as needed to model elements into a cohesive facility model.n•   Perform calculations, studies, and analysis of HVAC & Plumbing systems andn   equipment to create design solutions. Specific forms of analysis includen   HVAC system load, sizing ductwork, sizing domestic water and drainagen    systems.n•   Layout of domestic water and drainage system piping and system isometricn   diagrams.Ân•   Layout of ductwork and hydronic system piping and associated air and/orn   water flow diagrams.n•   Support production of projects including manufacturing design drawings,n   computer modeling, and detailing of manufacturing and construction workn   scopes.n•   Strong problem-solving skillsn•   Ability to work both independently and as part of a teamn•   Excellent oral and written communication skillsnPreferred:n•   Professional Engineer licensen•   Experience with the design and construction of healthcare facilitiesn•   Experience with 3D Modeling programs such as Revit and AutoCADnÂnJob order details:  We are looking for someone who understands that HVAC and plumbing aspects of the building.
