nWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Your knowledge of animal care and veterinary terminology will be essential in assisting clients and supporting our veterinary staff.
nResponsibilities
nGreet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
nSchedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
nAnswer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
nMaintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date.
nProcess payments and manage billing inquiries with professionalism.
nAssist with the intake of animals, including gathering medical history and relevant information.
nProvide clients with information about animal care, treatments, and preventive measures.
nCollaborate with veterinary technicians and veterinarians to ensure smooth clinic operations.
nMaintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
nRequirements
nPrevious experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
nKnowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology is highly desirable.
nFamiliarity with animal husbandry practices and aseptic techniques is a plus.
nStrong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and staff.
nAbility to handle animals safely and comfortably; experience with animal restraint is beneficial.
nProficient in using office software and managing electronic medical records systems.
