This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and highly skilled team. Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, the Senior Product Development Engineer will lead efforts to create and commercialize groundbreaking products, and serve as a key contributor to the growth of Verdox.
Key Responsibilitiesn
- n
- Mechanical design of complex components and systems, including 3D models, component and assembly drawings n
- Conduct design reviews, FMEA and other product development best practices n
- Design, build and test prototype systems, support design verification activities n
- Manage product and component requirements, ensure quality of incoming materials n
- Translate prototype designs into scalable solutions achieving performance & cost targets n
- Develop and implement large scale embodiments of Verdox technologies n
- Lead hardware development efforts n
- Collaborate with Technology Development and other internal and external stakeholders n
- Work with Supply Chain to identify and develop new suppliers n
- Create Verdox SOPs related to product design and development n
- Support field installations of Verdox products n
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Educational background n
- n
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline, MS n
Work Experience n
- n
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing complex electromechanical products or systems required n
- Experience working in an ISO regulated environment strongly
Job Skills, Experience, and Abilities n
- n
- Proficiency with Solidworks, GD&T, ASME Y14.5 n
- High level of hands-on experience building and testing complex systems required, preferably within a structured phase-gate process n
- Ability to brainstorm and communicate complex technical designs to diverse audiences n
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and certification processes n
- Demonstrated project management experience working with interdisciplinary teams n
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, highly collaborative & rapidly evolving startup environment n
- Experience with gas or liquid processing systems a plus n
- Willingness to contribute in areas outside of core competencies to meet company needs
