Job Description:nSelectek is seeking a Controls Engineer II to join a leading Systems Integration and I&C Construction firm specializing in industrial automation and controls. The position is responsible for designing control system details, configuring instrumentation, and implementing, testing, documenting, and training on industrial control systems.nKey Responsibilities:nnCollaborate with project managers and estimators to assess potential projects and submit proposals.nInterpret diagrams and documentation while communicating with customers to understand objectives and preferences.nDevelop overall architecture and communication strategy between control system elements.nDefine and document control system functionality with customers and stakeholders.nDevelop BOMs, IO lists, and control panel requirements.nAct as technical lead for small projects, including building PLC and HMI templates.nProgram PLCs using ladder logic, function block, and structured text languages.nCreate human-machine interfaces (HMI) and hardware/software test plans.nDevelop and execute training plans for operations and maintenance personnel.nCoordinate with installation management to ensure documented processes are followed.nTest installed systems for functionality, troubleshoot technical issues, and resolve software/hardware interface problems.nTrain customers on system integration software use and operations.nMentor and train less experienced team members.nnRequired Qualifications:nnBachelor of Science Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent industrial controls experience from a Technical College.n4 years of industrial controls experience in the architectural, engineering, or construction (AEC) industry or a similar field.n4 years of PLC programming experience.nExperience with ABB 800xa.nProficiency in Allen Bradley equipment and systems.nKnowledge of PLC programming, including ladder logic, function block, and structured text.nFamiliarity with Ethernet/IP networking and HMI systems.nnPreferred Qualifications:nn6 years of industrial controls experience in the AEC industry or a similar field.nProficiency with AutoCAD – Autodesk software.nnAbout the Company:nThis role is with a nationally recognized Systems Integration and I&C Construction firm established in 1991.
