nJob Summary:
nGlobal Impact Group LLC is seeking qualified Transcription Specialists for contingency hire in support of anticipated federal contracts involving law enforcement and investigative transcription services. The successful candidate will provide verbatim transcription of audio recordings including wiretaps, surveillance, informant debriefings, and suspect interviews. This position is contingent upon contract award and requires precision, speed, and the ability to interpret coded and slang language often used in criminal networks.
nPrimary Responsibilities:
nAccurately transcribe complex audio recordings, maintaining verbatim fidelity, including slang, non-verbal cues, and inaudible indicators.
nHandle transcription of highly sensitive and confidential materials, ensuring legal admissibility.
nTranscribe in English and/or target foreign languages, maintaining consistent formatting and speaker labeling protocols.
nInterpret and flag coded language, criminal jargon, or cultural idioms as needed for investigative analysis.
nCollaborate with law enforcement officials, case analysts, and linguists to verify accuracy and context.
nMaintain strict confidentiality and adhere to secure file transfer and data handling procedures.
nMinimum Qualifications:
nDemonstrated high-speed typing with a minimum of 70 WPM and exceptional accuracy.
nAt least two (2) years of experience in legal, law enforcement, or investigative transcription.
nFamiliarity with criminal slang, regional dialects, and coded terminology used in illicit networks.
nStrong listening and analytical comprehension skills; ability to transcribe poor-quality or multi-speaker audio.
nExperience working with transcription software tools (e.g., Express Scribe, ForTheRecord, Adobe Audition).
nAbility to follow detailed formatting and time-stamping requirements specific to legal and law enforcement documentation.
nLanguage Requirements:
nEnglish transcription proficiency is required.
nBilingual candidates with transcription capability in any of the following are highly desired:

nPashto
nOther mission-critical languages
nPreferred Qualifications:
nPrior experience working with the DEA, FBI, DHS, or local law enforcement.
nFamiliarity with Title III wiretap operations, SCIF protocols, or chain-of-custody documentation.
nAbility to pass government language proficiency tests and security clearance screenings.
nConditions of Employment:

nMust be willing to work on-site in secure locations or remotely under strict data protection protocols.
nAvailability for shift work, weekends, or high-volume turnaround projects is expected.
