We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automated solutions that streamline internal operations. Ideal candidates will have strong Python skills, cloud architecture experience (preferably in AWS or Azure), and hands-on API integration expertise. This role collaborates closely with legal operations, IT, and case management teams to build scalable, maintainable automation tools that support a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts and tools.
  • Design cloud-based workflows using AWS (Lambda, S3, Textract) or Azure (Logic Apps, Functions).
  • Integrate systems via RESTful APIs (Filevine, CRMs, billing, and document tools).
  • Partner with operations and IT to identify and automate manual tasks.
  • Ensure all automations are secure, auditable, and compliant (HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Document automation tools for case data processing, reporting, and redactions.
  • Support, monitor, and enhance existing automation pipelines.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting and data manipulation.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.
  • Strong understanding of API development and integration.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, and DevOps basics.
  • Bonus: Experience with RPA platforms or automation frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Skills
  • Background in legal tech or law firm automation.
  • Familiarity with case management systems (e.g., Filevine, Litify, Clio).
  • Understanding of PII/PHI handling and data privacy regulations.
  • Experience with databases (SQL, DynamoDB) and data warehouses.
