Job Title: Automotive Technician
Location: 93030 Oxnard, CA
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years job related experience. Automotive background & technical experience.
- Analytical and conceptual thinking - using logic and reason, creative and strategic
- Valid driver's license with good DMV record
- Solid knowledge of the English language
- Communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and written
- Computer savvy - skilled in use of software / Engineering tools
- Integration - joining people, processes, or systems
- Problem solving
Role Responsibilities:
- List essential functions in order of importance; include percentage of time spent performing each function.
- Main responsibility - assign 90% of time spent
- Perform detailed and thorough inspections and repair of all test vehicles
- Perform SW and HW updates including reporting systems with guidance from Sr. Technicians
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of test vehicles as defined
- Provide full vehicle support for entire concern test vehicles as requested
- Assist in maintain workshop tool, tire, and service part inventory
- Provide technical support for visiting test groups
- Install, remove, and maintain data logging equipment for information gathering from vehicles
- Inspection of assigned vehicles
- Receiving of parts from Germany and other stations
- Sampling and collection of fluids with full documentation
- Maintain and update engineering tools such as iDEX, Diagra, ODIS, and CP Tool with guidance from Sr. Technicians
- Prepare vehicles for scrapping
- Prepare vehicles for rotation for external drivers
