Overview
A Mechanical Engineer is sought to join a team in Baltimore, MD. The ideal candidate will be passionate about solving complex challenges, developing mechanical solutions, and contributing to a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, develop, and test mechanical and thermal systems, devices, and components using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.
  • Analyze mechanical problems and formulate solutions, considering various fabrication and material methods, such as injection molding, aluminum castings, machined parts, and sheet metal.
  • Investigate equipment failures, diagnose faulty operations, and recommend remedies.
  • Develop and test prototypes of designed devices, analyze test results, and modify designs or systems as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and other design professionals, to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Prepare detailed construction documents, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Conduct research to assess the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment, components, or systems.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to project timelines and budgets, and participate in project management activities from design to implementation.
  • Ensure that design testing, implementation, and maintenance procedures align with company quality standards and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of design processes, specifications, and test results.
  • Stay updated with advancements in mechanical engineering technologies, industry best practices, and relevant codes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a relevant industry.
  • Proven proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industry standards, and building codes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues, interpret data, and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Dependable with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineering (PE) license, or ability to obtain one.

Compensation
The average salary for a Mechanical Engineer in Baltimore, MD is approximately $105,264 per year. Salaries can vary depending on experience, education, skills, and the specific role and responsibilities.
Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year
