Our client in Alpharetta, GA, is a leader in the oil and gas industry and has an exciting opportunity for an experienced structural engineer that is looking to take on a role as a project lead and mentor more junior engineers along the way. This senior Structural Staff Engineer supports structural design and engineering work.nResponsibilities Include:nnHandles multiple projects acting as a lead for the projectnDesigning foundations and structures that comply with governing codes and standards.nThe role will work hand in hand with other disciplines to identify and design support structures for cable trays, pumps, motors, buildings, and other similar structures.nThe engineer will also work to develop project scopes, schedules and budgets for design related tasks.nPerform advanced calculations and designs related to bolted and welded connections (AISC 360) as well as concrete and rebar detailing (ACI 318)nPerforms calculations necessary to design complex structures i.e. manifolds & pipe racks with large dynamic loads.nCreating bid documents for equipment and services.nWriting engineering reports.nReviews work of junior technical staff within the department on projects to which he/she is assigned. Responsible for the internal management of projects and reporting on project status to management.nnRequired:nnBS Degree with a focus in Structural Engineering from an accredited university.n8 plus years as a Structural Engineer for industrial projectsnEIT, but PE Highly PreferrednExperience Leading projects and assisting more junior staff.nnSalary Range:$80k-$95knThis is a 6 month temp to hire, with the possibility of being a direct hirenPlease submit resume to: Wendy 678-802-6616
