Primary Duties:
  • Provide and support a safe working environment for all employees in Shelbyville.
  • Provide and support safe, reliable, ergonomic systems and machines.
  • High level knowledge and support of Automated manufacturing systems, to include PLC's, PC's, Servo's, Robots, HMI's, AC/DC Drives.
  • Ensure equipment and layouts are compliant with current OSHA and RIA guidelines, local and national electrical codes.
  • Write detailed technical specifications for projects, equipment, and processes.
  • Resource management and support for maintenance personnel and vendors
  • System/Project design, costing and implementation from concept to completion to include capital improvement programs
  • Coordinate all project controls/electrical activities to ensure that project timing, quality, and cost targets are attained.
  • Supervise and/or direct contractors, suppliers, or other technical people as required.
  • Perform hands-on programming/debug/troubleshooting of numerous types of automation equipment.
  • Conduct equipment training for plant or other personnel as required.
  • Act at times as overall project manager on highly automated/high controls-content projects.
. Qualifications Required:
  • Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology degree
  • CAD drawing capabilities - AutoCAD
  • PLC Programming and Troubleshooting
Qualifications Desired:
  • Robotics Programming and troubleshooting - ABB and Fanuc
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting - Allen Bradley and Texas Instruments
  • Motion Control programming and troubleshooting
  • Problem Solving skills, motors & controls, and strong computer and network skills.
  • CAD drawing capabilities - AutoCAD and Eplan
  • Code understanding to include NEC, NFPA70 and OSHA
