Description :
A valued customer of ours in the RTP, NC area is seeking a Microsoft O365 Systems Engineer to develop and support Microsoft O365 ( SharePoint , Power BI, Power Automate, B2B) applications, datacenter operations, and endpoint automation. This role also acts as a senior escalation point for endpoint and infrastructure support.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support Microsoft O365 solutions including SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate, and B2B applications.
  • Lead the automation and management of Microsoft O365 services.
  • Maintain servers, storage, data backups, virtualization environments, and operating systems within industry best practices.
  • Configure and deploy Windows 11 and Microsoft O365 platforms using Microsoft Intune.
  • Provide monitoring and administration for datacenter infrastructure and core IT services.
  • Support end-user issues as an escalation point for the Service Desk, utilizing ticketing and change management systems.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call support schedule.
  • Ensure documentation, root cause analysis, and procedural adherence for all support and operational activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform other IT-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
  • Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Experience:
  • 5+ years in datacenter operations, systems administration, or enterprise IT support
  • Strong experience with virtualization, storage, and OS (Windows Server, Windows 11)
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Office 365, and Azure Active Directory preferred
  • Background in automation, scripting, or workflow management is a plus
Key Skills and Competencies
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate
  • Familiarity with Azure services and Active Directory integration
  • Strong understanding of endpoint deployment and management using Microsoft Intune
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and collaborative with strong attention to detail
Work Environment
  • Standard business hours with some overtime and rotating on-call support
  • Occasional lifting of equipment (up to ~25 pounds)
  • Minimal travel, typically within the state
