We are seeking a talented Simulation Engineer with expertise in 1D systems simulation and a strong focus on drivetrain and battery-electric systems. This role involves simulating and analyzing electrical systems to optimize performance, efficiency, and reliability for cutting-edge electrification projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 1D simulations for electrical and system-level models, focusing on drivetrain and battery-electric systems.
- Analyze and optimize the performance of drivetrain components, including energy storage, power conversion, and motor control systems.
- Perform system simulations to evaluate energy efficiency, thermal management, and overall system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate simulation models with experimental data and ensure alignment with design objectives.
- Conduct trade-off analyses to support design decisions and system architecture optimization.
- Create detailed reports and documentation of simulation processes, results, and recommendations.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and simulation methodologies in electrification.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with 1D simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Amesim, or GT-SUITE.
- Strong understanding of battery-electric systems, powertrains, and system dynamics.
- Proficiency in modeling and simulating electrical systems and their interactions within a system.
- Knowledge of drivetrain components and their integration in electrified systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in cross-disciplinary teams.
