nThis position advocates and supports Parker's Win Strategy through the increase in knowledge and
ncapabilities of Parker's Manufacturing Operations in Livingston, TN.
nThe focus will be on Automation, Robotics and Vision applications, with the primary objective for
nContinuous Improvement.
nResponsible to lead and drive application development and utilization of technologies into Parker
nOperations for efficiency gains, quality improvements, safety, and competitive advantage. Support engineering function with significant research and product / process development toward long-range business impact.
nDevelops necessary processes, applications, system solutions, tools, and training materials.
nProject plan ownership is expected in tracking and reaching goals and objectives.
nDevelop and apply capabilities in automation, robotics, and vision systems to Parker Operations.
nWork with Group/Division/Plant Manufacturing Engineering and Plant Operations personnel to
nidentify opportunities and develop solutions.
n• Keep Parker current with emerging technologies and improvements.
n• Provide expert technical assistance for automation, robot, and vision applications.
n• Develop and deliver training and education on robot and vision systems application and
nprogramming.
n• Robot safety expert. Champion documentation, education, and adherence to all applicable
nregulations and standards including, but not limited to: RlS.06 and TS15066. Educate and train
nParker resources in safety disciplines, coach, and conduct robot application risk assessments.

nBachelor of Science in one or more of: Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing
nEngineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering required.
nC++ or C#, or Java programming experience
nExperience with robots and/or servo mechanisms 2-3+ years
nExperience with vision applications
nStrong proficiency in mathematics
nHas strong facilitation skills and ability to effectively communicate and present status, actions,
nrecommendations, and other technical information with clarity and precision.
nProficient with standard project management tools and practices
nAbility to establish and track performance to goals and objectives to complete complex or major
nprojects, and provide direction to team members toward project milestones.
nSelf-motivated creative thinker
nFlexible in event of sudden priority changes
nExperience with Microsoft Office
nExperience with AutoCad & Inventor preferred
